Review Overview – What does Unleashed Thermogenic do?

From a supplement company of the same name, we have Unleashed Thermogenic.

This is an all natural fat burner claimed to promote:

  • Energy
  • Fat Loss
  • Appetite Suppression
  • Focus

But how well does it really work?

In this review; we look closer at Unleashed Thermogenic to see how effective it really is.

This is what you need to know:

How are the servings?

There’s only 1 serving a day in this fat burner. Although that sounds convenient – it doesn’t make it effective.

Only having 1 serving a day, means the effects will only last for a few hours. Meaning you won’t have day long fat burning.

For the best results – you want a fat burner with 3 – 4 servings. This keeps the supply to your body consistent – and helps you burn fat constantly throughout the day.

This could’ve been executed better.

What about the ingredients in Unleashed Thermogenic?

Not that great.

There are some good ingredients in here – but they’re overshadowed by two things.

The first are the proprietary blends. A proprietary blend is when a supplement hides the individual dosages of its ingredients, and instead used one larger value.

This shows you a lack of transparency. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or how effective it will be overall. It’s not a good sign.

Secondly, some of the ingredients used have been linked to causing side effects.

Here’s what you need to know;

One of the better natural stimulants.

Caffeine has been seen in numerous studies to promote wakefulness, energy, and of course, metabolism.

You find it in most energy drinks, and for good reason – it works.

It’s good for keeping energy levels high while on a low calorie diet.

A poorer choice.

This amino acid has been linked to improving mood by releasing ‘happy hormones’ (serotonin and dopamine).

However – studies have shown that it isn’t that effective when supplemented orally.

It is broken down too quickly after ingestion to activate effectively.

A much better choice – and a great appetite suppressant.

Glucomannan is a fibrous complex from the konjac root.

It swells in the stomach making you feel fuller. This helps to curb hunger, and by extension helps you to consume less calories.

An anti stressor amino acid.

Although it doesn’t help with burning fat – L-Tyrosine can help with focus.

By reducing the stress hormone cortisol, you’ll feel less mental pressure and can concentrate more while training.

Green Tea

One of the better thermogenics.

Green Tea has been seen in numerous studies to promote fat loss. This is all down to the catechins in the herb.

By inhibiting suppressors of norepinephrine (your body’s fat burning hormone) – your body can burn more fat and calories naturally with no extra effort.

It also contains a touch of caffeine for that added energy boost.

Raspberry Ketones

A poorer option.

Raspberry Ketones are overhyped nutrients that are aggressively marketed in the supplements industry.

However, studies have shown that they do not have any real results when used in human tests – they have only worked in rat studies.

You would need an unrealistic/dangerous amount of Raspberry Ketones to encourage fat loss in humans.

Not only that, they are currently banned in the EU as a ‘novel food’ (under researched).

An appetite suppressant – but it may cause issues.

Yohimbe is a natural bark extract that has been seen in numerous studies to reduce hunger pangs.

However, studies have shown that it may also cause side effects that could affect your progress.

We’ll cover more on this in the side effects section later.

Another bad choice.

Synephrine is taken from Bitter Orange Extract – and it’s a risk.

Claimed to promote fat loss and energy levels – however, studies have shown that the actual effects aren’t that great.

Studies have shown Synephrine does very little in human testing – and can even cause side effects.

More details on those side effects in the later section.

Kola Nut

Another semi-ineffective choice.

Kola Nut’s main use here is it’s caffeine levels.

Given the small amount that is being used (it’s part of a 7mg blend) we doubt it will have much effect.

Not that great of an option either.

Carnitine may help to improve energy and metabolism – but again, it’s part of a blend that is only 7mg.

Studies have shown you need at least 500 – 2500mg of this nutrient for it to really have an impact.

It’s not your best option.

Ingredients Bottom Line:

Overall, this isn’t your best for a fat burning nutrient profile.

The main problem are the proprietary blends. All the ingredients used have their individual dosages hidden.

You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall.

Not only that, some of the ingredients used are ineffective – while others have been linked to causing side effects.

You’re better off with a stronger product.

Side Effects

Your two main worries here are the Synephrine and the Yohimbe.

Synephrine – from Bitter Orange Extract – has been reported to fare badly with users, especially when combined with caffeine.

Users have reported symptoms such as:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Light Headedness
  • Heart Palpitations
  • Raised Blood Pressure

Which are definitely not desired when cutting fat.

While Yohimbe on the other hand has been linked to causing hypertension, anxiety and gastrointestinal distress.

It’s not a good option.

Is there anything better than this fat burner?

Unleashed Thermogenic Review Conclusion

On the whole, this isn’t the best fat burner on the market.

From this review, here’s what you need to know about Unleashed Thermogenic;

  • Poor Servings – With only 1 serving a day, you’re not supplying your body with enough of the nutrients it needs to ensure consistent fat loss.
  • Proprietary Blends – You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall.
  • Potential Side Effects – Both Synephrine and Yohimbe have been linked to causing side effects.

As you can see, it’s not your best option.
