Review Overview – What does Universal Nutrition’s Ripped Fast do?
Manufactured by Universal Nutrition, Ripped Fast is an all natural fat burner claimed to promote:
- Fat Loss
- Energy
- Less Water Retention
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at Ripped Fast to see how well it really works.
This is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Poor.
With only 1 a day, there’s only so much benefit you can expect to get out of Ripped Fast.
Your body can only absorb so much at a time – giving it one hard hit will make the effects wear off after matter of hours.
What you need is to give your body a constant supply. For the best results you need a fat burner that contains 3 – 4 servings a day, to keep the benefits significant.
What about the ingredients in Ripped Fast?
On the whole – disappointing.
Truthfully, there’s only a handful of good ingredients in this product, and some are even covered by a proprietary blend.
This means we don’t know how much we’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.
We’ve made a list of the most important ingredients. You can check them out below:
Caffeine
One of the better natural stimulants out there.
Caffeine has been seen to promote energy, metabolic rate and power output.
It may cause side effects when a lot is used but given the dosages in Ripped Fast you should be fine.
Green Tea
A fantastic natural thermogenic.
Green Tea is full of catechins that have been seen to promote fat loss.
After being absorbed by your body the catechins work with your body to promote norepinephrine – the fat burning hormone.
It’ll also give you a mild caffeinated boost.
Alfalfa
A herb that contains a combination of vitamins and minerals.
Although good for overall health – it does not promote fat loss.
Dandelion
A solid diuretic – but is that a good thing?
As a diuretic, Dandelion has been seen to reduce your overall water weight.
However, as you need water to live, the effects may dehydrate you.
It could be a risky choice.
Cayenne
A pure thermogenic.
The heat from the cayenne chili is its secret to thermogenic fat loss.
By raising your body’s core temperature, cayenne pepper encourages your system to start a cool down process.
This heat regulation uses energy and burns extra calories, contributing to fat loss.
Choline
Linked to focus.
Choline is s nootropic (brain booster) that may help improve overall focus and mental sharpness.
However, it will not boost fat loss.
Lecithin
Soy Lecithin contains Phosphatidylserine – a nutrient linked also to mental sharpness and performance.
Once again, it does not promote fat loss.
Inositol
Another ingredient that does not promote fat loss.
Linked to improving blood flow, inositol may help more nutrients pass through your system.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile out there.
The only solid fat burners are the caffeine, green tea and cayenne pepper. However, due to the proprietary blend we don’t even know how much cayenne pepper we’re getting.
There’s also a risk of side effects with the diuretics, and a lot of the ingredients used don’t promote fat loss.
It’s not your best option.
Side Effects
One of the main things you have to look out for in this fat burner is Dandelion.
As it cuts water weight, if you don’t drink enough, there’s a risk of it causing side effects.
This could lead to:
- Dehydration
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Definitely not what you want while cutting weight.
Is there anything better than this fat burner?
