Review Overview – What does Superior Fitness’s XXX Burn do?
Manufactured by Superior Fitness, this is an all natural fat burner claimed to;
- Promote Energy
- Boost Fat Loss
- Enhance Focus
But how well does it really work?
In this review we look closely at XXX Burn to see how effective it really is, this is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Poor.
With only 1 serving a day, the fat burning process will be slow.
Your body can only absorb so much at a time.
It needs constant support to stay in that fat burning mode.
Ideally you need 3 – 4 servings a day. This keeps your body full of the nutrients it needs to consistently burn fat.
This fat burners current serving schedule needs improving.
What about the ingredients in Superior Fitness XXX Burn?
Not great.
First off, this is all proprietary blends – that means we don’t know the dosages of any the individual ingredients.
On top of that, many of the ingredients are ineffective, and some may even cause side effects.
It’s not looking good, this is our low down on the main ingredients;
Caffeine
Arguably the best natural stimulant out there.
Caffeine has been seen to raise both energy levels and metabolism.
It has even been seen in some studies to ramp up power output.
It’s a solid addition.
Phenylethylamine
Not a great choice.
Thought to boost happy hormones like serotonin and dopamine – the results have actually shown it doesn’t have that much of an effect.
This all comes down to the delivery, when supplemented orally this nutrient is broken down too quickly to be utilized effectively.
Plus it doesn’t promote fat burning.
Glucomannan
One of the better appetite suppressants.
Glucomannan is a fibrous complex that has been seen to swell in the stomach and reduce overall hunger levels.
This will help with cravings and keep your calorie intake low.
L-Tyrosine
An amino acid that works helps lower stress and anxiety.
L-Tyrosine won’t help with fat loss, but it may help to manage jitters that you may eat from a stimulant like caffeine.
Green Tea
One of the better thermogenics out there.
Green Tea contains catechins that are great for fat loss.
After being consumed, the catechins in green tea inhibit the enzyme that suppresses the production of norepinephrine – the fat burning hormone.
This helps you burn more calories overall with no extra effort.
Raspberry Ketones
A poor addition.
There have been no human studies that confirms Raspberry Ketones is linked to fat loss.
However due to its cheap production value it is still aggressively marketed as a fat burner.
It has no benefit for improving your physique.
Yohimbe
A risky choice.
Seen to reduce appetite – but there’s a drawback.
Yohimbe has been seen to cause numerous side effects for some users. More on that later.
Synephrine
A very bad option.
Synephrine was once thought to burn fat due its similar molecular structure to ephedra – however, this is not the caseS
Studies have shown that it has poor fat loss and energy benefits – not only that, it has been linked to numerous side effects.
More on that later.
Kola Nut
Nothing special here.
Kola Nut does not burn fat, but it does increase blood flow.
This may help the nutrient in XXX Burn get into your system faster.
L-Carnitine
One of the better amino acids – but it may be under dosed.
Seen to increase energy and metabolism , L-Carnitine may help you burn more fat.
However, studies have shown that you need 500 – 2500mg of this nutrient to get the full effects – and as a proprietary blend, it’s clear that this is not the case.
It’s a shame.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole this definitely isn’t the best nutrient profile we’ve come across.
The main issue is the proprietary blends. You don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used or if it is effectively dosed.
There are some good ingredients, but there are some bad ones too;
Yohimbe and Synephrine in particular have been seen to cause side effects.
It’s not your best option.
Side Effects
The two main ingredients you have to worry about here are the Yohimbe and the Synephrine.
Yohimbe has been reported on several occasions to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress.
Whereas Synephrine, especially when mixed with caffeine, has been seen to cause;
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Raised Blood Pressure
- Increased Heart Rate
- Dizziness
It’s not a good choice for cutting.
