Acetyl-L-Carnitine
One of the better amino acids.
L-Carnitine has been seen to help promote both energy and metabolism – but is there enough here?
Studies have shown that you need 500 – 2500mg for effective results. As this is a proprietary blend, we have no idea of the dosage – it’s unlikely that the right amount is there.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Believed to have some kind of fat burning benefit – however studies have struggled to find any evidence of this.
More research needs to be done, but it’s not looking positive.
Choline
May promote focus and learning in larger doses.
It will have no effect on fat loss.
Ingredients Bottom Line: On the whole this isn’t the best nutrient profile on the market. The first tip off is that huge proprietary blend. You don’t know how much of each ingredient or how effective it will be overall. The second worry is the irvinia gabonensis – as this is a banned supplement in the EU, due to the lack of knowledge on it – it could be a risky addition. Needless to say, it’s not looking good.
Side Effects
Your main worry here is with the Irvinia Gabonensis/African Mango.
As the EU has classed this as a novel food, it suggests that we do not know the full effects of the fruit – meaning it could lead to side effects
