Review Overview – What does Pro Supps DNPX do?

Made by Pro Supps, this is an all natural fat burner claimed to promote:

  • Fat Loss
  • Appetite Suppression
  • Metabolism
  • Focus

prosupps-dnpx-review

But how well does it really work?

In this review, we look closer at DNPX to see how effective it really is.

This is what you need to know:

How are the servings?

Poor.

With only one serving a day – this isn’t your best option for day long benefits.

The first issue is that it’s a powder. This makes it inconvenient to carry around before use.

The second is that single dosage. The effects are only going to be in your system for an hour or two – after which you’ll go back to the same Metabolic rate.

Ideally what you need is a fat burner that provides 3 – 4 servings a day, this keeps the supply to your body constant and giving you constant fat loss benefits.

What about the ingredients in Pro Supps DNPX?

Not that great.

Although the list is extensive – they’re all proprietary blends.

This means all the individual ingredients have their dosages hidden in favor of being weighed up under one blend.

This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you get in this product – or how effective it will be overall.

There’s also a risk of side effects.

Here’s what you need to know about the main ingredients:prosupps-dnpx-side-effects

Caffeine

One of the best natural stimulants you can find.

Caffeine has been seen in numerous to promote energy and metabolism.

It’s also been known to promote power output in the gym.

Synephrine

A seriously poor choice for a fat burner.

Synephrine is from Bitter Orange Extract and causes more harm than good.

Although believed to promote energy and fat loss – studies have shown differently. This nutrient has failed to show this in trials.

Not only that, users have reported side effects when using this nutrient – which we will go into detail on later.

Green Coffee Bean

A better option.

Green Coffee Bean works as a thermogenic, and this is all down to its chlorogenic acid.

By cutting down the glucose in your liver – chlorogenic acid encourages your body to look for other energy sources – namely your fat cells. Which increases fat loss.

Garcinia Cambogia

Not a great option.

Although thought to work as an appetite suppressor – studies have shown differently.

In reality, results have shown that supplementing Garcinia has not helped to curb appetites, and does little more than just season food.

Raspberry Ketones

Another poor choice.

Although heavily marketed as a fat burner, Raspberry Ketones has failed all human studies when used on its own to promote fat loss.

It has only had a real impact when given to rats in unreasonable amounts – that definitely don’t scale up for humans.

Green Tea

One of the best natural thermogenics.

Green Tea contains antioxidants known as catechins, that when absorbed promote norepinephrine – the fat loss hormone.

This maximizes thermogenesis and promotes overall fat loss.

African Mango

Not a great choice.

African Mango, also known as Irvinia Gabonensis has been seen in numerous studies to not promote fat loss – despite claims.

Not only that, it is a banned supplement under the EU due to being a ‘novel food’ – essentially, there is not enough evidence to show that it doesn’t cause side effects long term.

It’s too much of a risk.

L-Carnitine

A good option for energy and metabolism, however – is there enough?

Studies have shown, for L-Carnitine to have any real effect you need at least 500 – 2500mg.

DNPX only has 225mg – which is definitely not enough for the full effects.

Taurine

A minor amino acid with supporting functions.

Taurine may help promote blood flow, but not much else after that.

It does not help fat loss.

L-Tyrosine

An anti stressor amino acid.

L-Tyrosine may help to induce feelings of calmness which may help you concentrate more while using that generous amount of caffeine.

Dandelion Root

Definitely not a fat burner – and may cause problems.

Dandelion is a diuretic – which means it strips water weight. This means it has the potential to cause dehydration if you don’t drink enough water.

Ingredients Bottom Line:

On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile for a fat burner.

The first problem has got to be the proprietary blends. You don’t know how much you’re getting of each ingredient – or whether they’ve been effectively dosed.

Not only that, numerous ingredients in this product have been linked to causing side effects (namely the huge amount of caffeine, Synephrine, and to some extent the dandelion). We go over them in more detail in the next section.

Then you have to consider the banned EU foods, like the Mango and the Raspberry Ketones – there’s just too many cons in this product to outweigh the pros.

Side Effects

There are some nutrients you need to be concerned with in DNPX – the caffeine, the  Synephrine, and to some degree the Dandelion extract.

Usually we wouldn’t include caffeine in this list – but there’s 400mg in this fat burner – that’s even higher than what you’ll find in pre workouts.

The risk here is that it can cause side effects such as:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Higher heart rate
  • Higher risk of High Blood Pressure
  • Dizziness

Synephrine has also been seen to have similar side effects.

Dandelion Extract on the other hand is a diuretic and has been seen to lower water weight which could lead to dehydration.

Is there anything better than this fat burner?

Definitely.

We’ve scoured the market for the best fat burners that promote:

  1. Thermogenic Calorie Burning
  2. Energy Levels
  3. Fat Loss
  4. Appetite Suppression

And we’ve narrowed it down to just three.
