Review Overview – What does Nutrex LIPO-6 Black Intense do?
Manufactured by Nutrex Research, this all natural fat burner is claimed to promote:
- Thermogenesis
- Appetite Suppression
- Energy
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at LIPO-6 Black Intense to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Poor.
With only 1 serving a day, this is a poor choice for fat burning.
Your body can only absorb so much at a time – and the effects will wear off after a few hours.
For the best results you need around 3 – 4 servings a day. This keeps the nutrient supply to your body consistent and allows you to stay in that fat burning mode.
However, you’ll usually only find this with more premium fat burners.
What about the ingredients in LIPO-6 Black Intense?
Not that great.
The first problem with this fat burner is the proprietary blend. This is where the manufacturer puts all the ingredients under one value.
This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or whether it is properly dosed.
There’s also none of our recommended thermogenics in this mix – Green Tea, Green Coffee Bean or Cayenne Pepper all would’ve been great here.
There’s also a side effect risk.
Check it out:
Yohimbe
An appetite suppressant – although it does have its drawbacks.
Although it’s been seen to be effective in some cases for reducing hunger cravings, there have also been several side effects reported with its usage.
We’ll cover more on that later.
L-Tyrosine
An amino acid seen to boost mood and motivation.
However, it won’t help fat loss.
Studies have shown that L-Tyrosine can work as an anti stress aid. It can help to raise dopamine and serotonin levels which will make you feel better and more motivated.
Rauwscoline
An unreliable choice.
Rauwscoline has been seen to both boost testosterone and cut fat in men – but the results are unreliable.
Although marketed to have ideal effects – much more needs to be researched with this nutrient to see if it can really stand up to its claims.
Caffeine
One of the better options out there.
Caffeine is arguably the best natural stimulant on the market.
Linked to boosting energy and metabolism, it’s great for keeping you motivated in the gym, and for helping you burn extra calories.
Theacrine
Structurally similar to caffeine – although that doesn’t make it good.
There’s been several studies into Theacrine – and the consensus is that the effects are unreliable.
It won’t help you lose fat.
Advantra Z (Bitter Orange Extract/Synephrine)
Not a great choice.
Thought be a fat burner due to it being structurally similar to ephedrine – however studies have shown it isn’t that effective.
Not only that, as well as being ineffective, it has also been reported to cause numerous side effects.
More on that in the later section.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile we’ve seen in a fat burner.
The first problem is that this is a proprietary blend. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.
On top of that there are some ineffective ingredients, and also some that cause side effects (Yohimbe and Synephrine).
Side Effects
The two ingredients you need to be concerned about are Yohimbe and Synephrine.
Although good for appetite suppression, Yohimbe has been seen to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress.
Synephrine is also a bad choice, studies have shown that it may cause;
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Increased Heart Rate
- Risk of High Blood Pressure
Which is definitely what you don’t want while trying to cut fat.
