Review Overview: What does Neogenix’s Velocity Ultra do?
Velocity Ultra is a fat burner brought to us by Neogenix and it’s claimed to:
- Burn Fat
- Increase Focus
- Boost Energy
But does it really?
In this review, we take a close look at Neogenix’s product to see how good it really is.
After looking closely at the science, servings and ingredients here, these are our results:
How are the Servings?
Poor.
There’s only 1 serving a day in Velocity Ultra, and plus it’s pretty impractical to carry around too because it’s a powder.
1 serving a day is bad news because it stops you from getting that ’round-the-clock’ fat burning effect. What you’ll get is a few hours of the benefits, and then nothing until your next serving. Which usually results in an energy crash.
For the best effects you need something that supplies 3 – 4 servings per day. This ensures your body is being constantly topped up with the nutrients it needs to keep burning fat throughout the day.
P.S.: We’ve made a shortlist of the fat burners on the market that do this the best, that also contain the top ingredients. You can check out what we recommend below:

What about the Ingredients in Velocity Ultra?
Not that great.
There are only 2 real ingredients here that will help the fat burning process – and they only promote energy levels. To effectively burn fat you need a respectable thermogenic profile (ingredients that help you burn calories), energy boosters and appetite suppressants working together.
On top of that, there’s even a side effect risk.
This is what you need to know:
Acetyl-L-Carnitine
A potent amino acid that is linked to increasing both metabolism and energy levels.
You typically need anywhere from 500 – 2500mg to get the full effects from this fat burner, and with 1000mg per serving in Velocity Ultra, you’ll definitely be getting enough.
Agmatine
Not an energy booster, appetite suppressant or a fat burning nutrient. This is just a metabolite that may support cognitive health when supplemented. Results are unreliable – and it definitely doesn’t help you lose fat.
Caffeine Anhydrous (WARNING HIGH AMOUNT)
With 350mg of caffeine in one serving – which is more than you get in most pre-workouts. This could lead to side effects, especially if you’re not used to it.
When properly dosed, caffeine is a great stimulant that promotes energy, metabolism and overall power output in the gym.
DL-Phenylalanine
Another cognitive nutrient that again doesn’t promote fat burning.
Phenylalanine has been linked to the promotion of the happiness hormone serotonin – however studies have shown that after supplementation this nutrient is broken down too quickly for your body to experience the benefits.
Hordenine
Thought to be linked to fat burning effects by increasing noradrenaline in the body – a fat burning hormone. However there haven’t been that many studies to confirm it’s effectiveness.
Coleus Forskohlii
A fat loss nutrient that doesn’t actually suppress appetite. Despite what users have said they’ve experienced (suppressed appetite), results have shown that those that have supplemented Coleus Forskohlii have had no significant fat loss over a 12 week period.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Overall the ingredients in this fat burner need serious work.
There seems to be be no thermogenic profile or effective appetite suppressants in place to give you the best results.
On top of this there’s a risk of suffering side effects from the sheer amount of caffeine.
There are definitely better options out there.

Side Effects
A big drawback with Velocity Ultra is the sheer amount of caffeine.
With 350mg of it per serving, this stimulant can cause a range of side effects, especially if you are not used to having this amount in your usual day-to-day.
Neogenix Velocity Ultra Review Conclusion
On the whole this is definitely not one of the best fat burners out there. Not by a long shot.
If you’ve been considering using Velocity Ultra for fat loss, this is what you need to know from this review:
- Poor Servings – With only 1 serving a day, you can’t get round the clock fat burning
- Risk of Side Effects – There’s a hell of a lot of caffeine in this product
- Limited Nutrient Profile – There are no thermogenics or appetite suppressants in this product
Needless to say, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
