But just how well does it work?

In this review, we look closer at Intensify Black and find out how good it really is.

This is what you need to know:

How are the servings?

Could be better.

With 2 servings a day, you’re not given enough of a constant drip of nutrients to stay in full fat-burning mode.

Ideally what you need is around 3 – 4 servings a day – this gives your body a constant supply of the nutrients it needs to keep you burning fat throughout the day.

What about the ingredients in Intensify Black?


There are so many ingredients in this product – and so few of them are good.

It’s also full of proprietary blends, so although there’s a lot being used, you don’t know how much of each you’re getting.

It’s a really difficult read – which may be the manufacturer’s intention – to make you think it’s overly technical and therefore effective.

One of the better stimulants out there.

Caffeine has been seen in numerous studies to promote energy and metabolism.

It has even been seen in some studies to promote power out, which will help while training.

Green Tea

An effective thermogenic.

Green tea has been seen in numerous studies to promote fat burning.

The catechins in the herb promote your body’s levels of norepinephrine – the fat burning hormone.

It also gives you a good energy boost from the plant’s natural caffeine.


Found more in dark chocolate – and may help with blood flow.

Theobromine may help with blood vessel dilation and promote circulation. However this is only a mild effect.

It may help with nutrient flow but won’t make that much of a difference.


Thought to be thermogenic – but there are no human studies to back this up.

Evodiamine is very under researched nutrient, and it is unknown whether it actually promotes fat burning.

Citrus Aurantium

A poor fat burning nutrient with a lot of flaws.

Originally thought to burn fat and boost energy – the studies into Citrus Aurantium/Bitter Orange Extract show that it’s not actually that effective.

In reality it doesn’t do much at all, and can actually cause side effects – especially when mixed with caffeine, which unfortunately, is in this product.


Structurally similar to caffeine – but nowhere near as effective.

Theacrine has been thought to boost energy levels and focus – however, studies have shown that these effects are pretty unreliable.

It’s not your best option, by far.


One of the better amino acids out there.

Carnitine has been seen to increase both metabolism and energy levels.

However studies have shown you need 500 – 2500mg to receive the full benefits.

As this is a proprietary blend, it’s unclear that this is the case.


These are all part of proprietary blends – the manufacturer has not disclosed the dosage of any of the ingredients used in this product. You don’t know how effective each ingredient will be, despite their benefits.

Rhodiola Rosea

A herb that should help with motivation.

Rhodiola Rosea is a mood enhancing herb that can help promote feelings of wellness and fight fatigue.

It will keep you motivated and focused while training.


A diuretic which could cause problems.

Although dandelion can help cut water weight, this could also lead to side effects like dehydration – be careful with this nutrient.


An amino acid that is another good choice for mood and mindset.

Known as an anti-stressor, Tyrosine has been seen to promote happy hormones like dopamine and serotonin.

This will get you in the right mind set for training in the gym.


An amino acid that works well with caffeine.

By raising the depressive hormones in your body without causing fatigue, caffeine works synergistically with caffeine to create a calm focus.

It won’t help fat loss, but it may improve energy efficiency.

It’s a shame we don’t know the dosage.

White Willow

Seen to lower inflammation in joints, but not much else.

It won’t promote fat loss.


Essentially black pepper.

Ingredients Bottom Line:

On the whole, this isn’t the best ingredient profile we’ve seen.

You only have to glance at it to see why – it’s a mess of proprietary blends.

You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.

So many were irrelevant as well – we didn’t want to bore you with a full rundown of all the ineffective additions.

On top of that, there’s various ingredients which may cause side effects.

It’s not looking good.

Side Effects

The main ingredients you have to worry about in Intensify Black are the Citrus Aurantium and the Dandelion extract.

Citrus Aurantium reacts badly with caffeine – reports have shown it can cause:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Raised Blood Pressure
  • Increased Heartrate
  • Increased Risk of Stroke

Which is definitely not good.

Dandelion Extract on the other hand is a diuretic, and cuts water weight. This could lead to dehydration.
