In this review, we look closer at Leanworks to see how effective it really is.

How are the servings?


With only 1 serving a day, there’s only so much benefit you can get out of this fat burner.

Think about it. With only one serving a day, the effects will only last for a couple of hours and the nutrients will leave your system shortly after.

For the best results you need 3 – 4 servings a day. This keeps the nutrient supply to your body constant so you can continuously make progress.

Muscle Elements need to work on this.

What about the ingredients in Leanworks?

Not that great.

Although there are some good ingredients in this product, there are also some that are banned in certain countries with little documented benefit.

Leanworks has a range of thermogenics, but not all of them are effective.

Not only that, these ingredients are all wrapped in proprietary blends – this means all the ingredients have had their individual values hidden in favour of one larger value.

This means you don’t know how much of each individual ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall.

It’s not your best option if you’re looking for the best in fat loss.

Here’s what you need to know about the nutrient profile.

Green Coffee Bean 

A potent thermogenic that helps burn additional fat.

Green Coffee Bean is packed with Chlorogenic Acid – an effective fat burner.

By cutting down the glucose in your liver, Green Coffee Bean encourages your body to look for other sources of energy – namely your fat cells.

It’s great for helping you burn additional fat cells.


One of the better amino acids – although there may not be enough here.

Studies have shown that L-Carnitine can help to raise both energy and metabolism.

However, research has shown you need around 500 – 2500mg for it to be effective. With only 255mg per daily serving, it’s unlikely that you will get the full effects.

Irvinia Gabonensis 

Also known as African Mango – and not an effective choice for fat loss.

Irvinia Gabonensis has been seen in various studies to fall short of the mark when it comes to fat loss.

With unreliable results, there hasn’t been a lot of evidence to confirm African Mango actually works.

Not only that – it is currently banned in the EU and classed as a ‘novel food’. This means the EU forbids its consumption due to the lack of studies of African Mango’s long term effects – it could be dangerous.

Raspberry Ketones 

Another poor choice.

Raspberry Ketones is another ingredient that is aggressively marketed as fat burner – however lacks any evidence for it working in humans.

RK has only been effective when generously supplied to rats, in amounts that would be unreasonable in human studies.

Not only that; it is another nutrient that is classed as a novel food by the EU.

It’s not a good choice.

Juniper Berry 

Not a good option.

There’s only one study that shows Juniper Berry to be effective – and it’s a rat study.

The study showed that it reduces glucose levels which may help lessen fat storage – however this isn’t enough to know if the results will scale up to humans.


A diuretic that may help to manage water weight.

Dandelion helps to cut excess water, which may aid you in dropping a pound or two – however, water does not equal fat.

Not only that, it may also cause side effects by stripping your body of water.

Phaseolus Vulgaris 

Also known as white kidney bean.

Believed to work as a carbohydrate blocker – however studies have shown that   it doesn’t have enough of an effect to make a real difference.

It’s not potent enough to block carbs.

Red Pepper

A better thermogenic.

Red Pepper is used because it contains capsaicin – the component that gives chilli its heat.

This is great for fat loss. By raising your body’s core temperature, Red Pepper helps your body initiate a cool down process to regulate itself.

This cool down requires additional energy from your body and helps to burn extra calories and stored fat with no extra effort.

Ingredients Bottom Line:

On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile on the market.

There’s a real mix here of good, bad and under dosed additions when it comes to Leanworks.

Not only that, many of the nutrients used are banned in the EU as ‘Novel Foods’.

It’s not your best option.

Side Effects

There’s a potential for side effects from both the Irvinia Gabonensis and the Raspberry Ketones.

Both of these nutrients have not had their long term effects documented – so they Dion may even cause some potential dangers down the line.

For this reason – both ingredients have been banned in the EU.

We’d recommended avoiding these nutrients until further evidence has come forward.

  • Banned ingredients – Both Raspberry Ketones and Irvinia Gabonensis are banned ‘novel foods’ under the EU.
