Review Overview – What does LeanMode do?

leanmodeLeanMode is another in a new string of fat burners that rely heavily on a group of fatty acids known as CLA.

This is to give it the angle that this fat burner can help with weight loss, without the rush of caffeine that come in most of the competing brands.

In terms of what LeanMode actually does, EVLUTION NUTRITION make the following claims:

  • Increase Fat Burning
  • Suppress Appetite
  • Raise Energy and Metabolism
  • Improve Mood

However, we have our doubts. We’ve used CLA products in the past and didn’t really get much benefit. In addition, we’ve read studies that CLA is too weak enact effective fat loss. But’ll we’ll get to that in a moment.

How does LeanMode work?

Each serving of this fat burner is broken up into 3 capsules. There are 2 servings a day.

Regardless of the amount of capsules, as that can be divided up into any number depending on their size. The real concern is that there are only 2 servings.

The more effective fat burners use around 3-4 servings, this keeps thermogenesis consistent and also ensures that energy levels stay elevated.

But what about the ingredients themselves?

You’ll be happy to know there are no proprietary blends in LeanMode, we know how much of each ingredient we are getting per serving.

Originally thought to suppress appetite by its ability to enhance flavor through leaving a lasting effect after a meal. However, this was recently discovered to feel like that, purely because it enhances flavor – not because it suppresses appetite. If you supplement GC, chances are you’re not going to taste it. It is a waste in this product.

But the 500mg of Green Coffee Bean is actually a really good move.

Green Coffee Bean is actually great for breaking down glucose in the liver. This is all down to the chlorogenic acid in the green coffee that helps with this process. Without the glucose in the liver, the body must move on to other energy resources, and the next one on the list is fat cells.

And now the fabled CLA, all 500mg of it.

You’re probably wondering why CLA doesn’t work after LeanMode’s advertising told you such good things. Let me break it down for you:

CLA was once theorized to induce fat loss by how it acts on the PPAR system in the body. Essentially, receptors that regulate metabolism. However, in practice it was seen that although the CLA acts on the PPAR receptors, it doesn’t hold enough potency to induce fat burning.

In the very rare cases that any difference has been made to fat burning, CLA was supplemeted at leves of 3200 – 6400mg. Way too much than this product can provide.

The 500mg of Acetyl-L-Carnitine however, shows promise. 

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is used for cognitive function and mood enhancement. It’ll help you stay more focused and motivated at the gym. It’s a pretty solid amino acid and LeanMode has it dosed well within the effective area at 500mg.

Best for last, I see, 250mg of Green Tea Extract.

We go crazy for green tea. 250mg is a good amount as well. Not only does the caffeinated kick of the herb help boost energy levels and metabolism, but also the catechins in the product are effective at helping with fat burning by releasing norepinephrine in the body – a pure fat burning hormone.

LeanMode Review Conclusion

All in all, we’re pretty disappointed with LeanMode.

The only ingredients worth having are the Green Tea, Green Coffee Bean and the Acetyl-L-Carnitine (although that doesn’t help weight loss).

The claim of it being an appetite suppressant is false. Garcinia Cambogia is ineffective as a supplement, no matter the dosage – it is purely here because it is a ‘fad’ ingredient.

The serving schedule is off the mark as well. To keep thermogenesis consistent and energy levels constant, there should be at least 3-4 servings of this product a day.

That said it does contain a lot of Green Tea and Green Coffee bean – however many other supplements can do this.

This product is mediocre at best – 3 stars.
