Review Overview – What does Blue Star’s Blade do?
Created by Blue Star Nutraceuticals, Blade is an all natural fat burner that is claimed to promote:
- Focus
- Fat Burning
- Energy
But how well does it really work?
In this review we look closer at Blade to see just how effective it really is – this is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Could be better – at most you’re advised to take 2 servings a day.
For optimum fat loss you need at least 3 – 4 servings a day to give your body that constant supply of nutrients it needs to burn fat day-long.
The more the better, and big gaps between servings will slow up your results.
What about the ingredients in Blue Star’s Blade?
Not great.
Although there are some good ingredients in this product, there’s also some that cause side effects.
Not only that, a handful are just plain ineffective.
We’ve made a list of the main ones you need to know about – and we’ve summarized it up at the end. Take a look:
Sweet Pepper (Chilli)
One of the better thermogenics out there.
Chilli pepper is good for raising your body’s core temperature. This is perfect for burning fat.
With a higher core temperature your body must start a cool down process – this helps you regulate the heat and uses more calories than you would burn usually to do so.
L-Carnitine
Good for energy and metabolism, but not necessarily for fat burning.
Studies have shown that for L-Carnitine to be effective you need somewhere between 500 – 2500 mg for it to work.
Blade only has 400mg. It may not be your best option.
Green Tea
Green Tea on the other hand is a great thermogenic.
Filled with catechins, this caffeinated herb boosts your body’s levels of norepinephrine – the fat burning hormone.
This helps you burn extra calories with no extra effort.
Caffeine
One of the best natural stimulants out there.
Caffeine is good for increasing energy levels, boosting metabolism and even helping with overall power output.
It’s a good addition here.
Synephrine
A poor choice.
Synephrine was thought to help burn fat and increase energy levels – however studies have shown that the effects are close to insignificant.
On top of this, it’s been shown to cause some side effects when combined with caffeine.
Yohimbe
An appetite suppressant with a problem.
Yohimbe has been seen in several studies to help reduce overall appetite, when taken regularly throughout the day.
However, studies have shown using this bark as a supplement may cause some negative side effects.
More on that later.
Bioperine
Essentially black pepper.
This can help with overall nutrient absorption, but not actual fat loss.
AstraGin
Ginseng is good for increasing blood flow.
It may not help with fat loss but it should improve nutrient flow throughout your body.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole this isn’t the best fat burning profile out there.
There are only 2 good ingredients here – the chilli and the green tea.
The rest are either largely ineffective, under-dosed or linked to side effects.
Especially when you consider the relationship between the caffeine and the Synephrine – you’re headed for disaster.
It’s not your best option.
Side Effects
There are two main ingredients you need to worry about with Blue Star Blade; the Synephrine and the Yohimbe.
Synephrine reacts particularly badly when combined with caffeine, or caffeinated herbs like Green Tea – both of which are in this blend.
Side effects include:
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Increased Blood Pressure
- Higher Heart Rate
- Dizziness
Which is not what you want.
Yohimbe on the other hand has been seen to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress.
They’re not worth the risk.

Blue Star Blade Review Conclusion
On the whole, this isn’t the best fat burner on the market, and there are multiple reasons why.
From this review, this is what you need to know about Blue Star’s Blade:
- Servings need improving: With only 2 servings a day, you can’t ensure day-long fat burning.
- Ineffective ingredients: Several ingredients used lack clinical backing.
- Potential Side Effect: Both Synephrine and Yohimbe have been linked to causing side effects.
As you can see, it’s not your best option.
