Review Overview – What does Adaptogen Science’s Furian do?
From Adaptogen Science comes Furian, the fat burner claimed to:
- Increase Energy
- Offer ‘Advanced’ Weight Loss
- Control Appetite
But does it really?
We’ve taken a closer look at the ingredients in Furian and we’re not so sure it’s all it’s cracked up to be.

How are the servings?
Not the best.
With only 2 servings a day, there’s only so much benefit you can expect to get out of a fat burner like Furian. With a 6 hour gap between each serving, this is wise for the caffeine amount – but bad for the overall effects.
We’d lower the caffeine and space the supplement out over several more servings in the day.
Ideally, you want a fat burner that has around 3 – 4 servings a day, this allows your body to be constantly supplied with the nutrients it needs to continuously burn fat and get you to that lean physique.

What about the ingredients in Furian?
With only one reliable thermogenic in the entire blend, you’ll be hard pressed to get any serious benefit out of this product.
To top it off, all of the ingredients are encased in a proprietary blend, this means we don’t know how much of each nutrient is being used, or how effective they will be overall.
Take a look:
The L-Tyrosine is a good start, but doesn’t burn fat…
Mainly a cognitive booster, L-Tyrosine for the most part reduces stress. Ideal if you’re taking a lot of caffeine or another fat burning stimulant.
Drendrobium is another that may help with the cutting process, but doesn’t actually burn fat…
Linked to digestion aid, this herb may help food go down quicker but in the grand scheme of things it’s going to promote comfort – not getting lean.
Green Coffee Bean is a better choice…
A great thermogenic, green coffee bean’s chlorogenic acid is good for cutting down glucose in the liver.
Without glucose, your body must look to other energy stores – namely your fat cells.
And the Higenamine is just going to help with focus…
A cognitive enhancer that won’t contribute to your fat loss. You may feel a little more focused in the gym, but it’s not going to help you shift those stubborn pounds.
Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange Extract) however, is a really bad choice…
Possibly one of the worst fat burners out there.
Bitter Orange Extract has been seen to offer little fat burning benefit, while at the same time, cause side effects when using caffeine.
As is the Yohimbe…
Another side effect ridden nutrient. Yohimbe is an appetite suppressant that if improperly dosed can lead to a range of problems.
To make matters worse, this is part of a proprietary blend, so we don’t even know how much is being used.
Coleus may be a better option, but the jury is still out…
Although thought to boost testosterone and lower fat mass, very few studies have reported any evidence of this.
More research needs to be done to confirm this.
And it’s the same with 7-Keto DHEA…
Although a nonhormonal alternative to DHEA, that is thought to boost metabolism, there’s a problem with the studies.
Many argue there’s a conflict of interest with the bodies that carried out the studies due to them selling the supplements themselves.
Ignoring those studies, there seem to be no strong independent studies that fight this nutrients corner. Meaning it could possibly be ineffective.
Finally a big shot of caffeine to top it all off…
With 200mg of caffeine per serving (the only disclosed amount in the blend), you’re going to get a big energy kick. It’s good for power output and metabolism – but is this too much?
If you have a low tolerance you’re not going to have a good time, and combining it with the synephrine is just going to lead to trouble. Be careful with this one.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Right off the bat, the main problem we notice with this product is that it is all one big proprietary blend. This stops us knowing how effective each ingredient is overall as we don’t know how much is being used.
On top of that, many of these nutrients promote focus rather than actual fat burning. The best ingredient in here, by far, is the Green Coffee Bean. The rest seem to promote either cognition, have limited evidence or are linked to side effects.

There are two troubling ingredients in this product which could lead to some nasty side effects: The Citrus Aurantium, and the Yohimbe.
Usually the worst when combined with Caffeine, Citrus Aurantium has been seen to cause nausea, dizziness and high blood pressure in users.
Yohimbe is another problem. When improperly dosed it has been seen to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress. Something you definitely want to avoid experiencing while cutting fat.
Adaptogen Science Furian Review Conclusion
Overall this is definitely not the best fat burner out there on the market, and there are several reasons why.
- Serving Schedule – Room for improvement here, doesn’t ensure round the clock fat burning
- Barely any fat burning nutrients – Green Coffee Bean only reliable thermogenic
- Potentially too much caffeine – 200mg TWICE A DAY is excessive
- Potential Side Effects – Citrus Aurantium and Yohimbe have both been linked to several side effects
Overall this is not your best choice on the market by far, and you are better off looking elsewhere.
